Student Scholarship

For students interested in applying for the CALMS Scholarship:

CALMS wishes to support students studying in an area related to lake and reservoir limnology, ecology, or management and will present two $1500 scholarships in 2018.

The scholarship may be used to pay for education and/or research expenses. Eligible applicants must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited California, Arizona, or Nevada college or university.

  • $500 will be awarded to each winner in June, 2018.
  • $1000 awarded at the annual CALMS conference in October, 2018.

The scholarship winners will have their research summaries (submitted as part of the application; see below) published in the CALMS newsletter and will be required to give a presentation at the annual meeting. A committee consisting of academic and industry representatives will judge applications.  Individuals with a personal or institutional affiliation will not judge an applicant.
